Our name, “Nine41 Consulting,” is a play off of Apple’s marketing. If you pay close attention to many of the product placements by Apple, you’ll notice the time on the devices show 9:41.
According to Scott Forstall, a former Senior Vice-President at Apple, the big product reveal in Apple’s keynotes is scheduled to occur around the forty minute mark. “When the big image of the product appears on screen, we want the time shown to be close to the actual time on the audience’s watches. But we know we won’t hit 40 minutes exactly.*” Thus they set their revealed products to display the time of 9:41 AM.
Bennett Norton, the founder of Nine41 Consulting, started his career as a systems administrator for DirectPointe–a managed IT service provider. While there, he was tasked with integrating all types of client devices within the newly managed networks, including Macs (iOS devices did not yet exist).
He’s since worked in several roles at Ivanti (formerly LANDESK) within the Unified Endpoint Managent product suites, including time as a Sales Engineer and Product Manager specializing in the Apple device integration.
These years of implementing, troubleshooting, and managing Apple devices in a predominantly Windows environment for worldwide customers have culminated in the creation of Nine41 Consulting.

Unfortunately, for many, that magic gets left at home while most people go to work and use platforms that aren’t their preferred choice because IT will not or cannot support Apple devices.
Well, it’s my desire to lower that barrier of entry. Nine41 Consulting provides tips and tricks, training, implementation, and services focused on Apple devices. Our goal is to enable IT to empower its users with the ability to choose the Apple platform.”
Wesley Andersen, the VP of Sales for Nine41 Consulting, got his start in the IT world at Tek-Tools Software–a Dallas startup. It was there that he gained an understanding of Storage Systems, Servers, and Backup, as well as the complexities of an IT sales cycle and the importance of providing useful solutions–not just “shelfware”. As is typical with a startup, he wore multiple hats. He spent a lot of time growing partner relations with companies like Dell and PC Mall, while simultaneously holding a quota for both new sales and renewal business.
After two years of selling with Tek-Tools, the company was acquired by a large Network Monitoring and Reporting Software company–SolarWinds. Over Wesley’s eight-year tenure at SolarWinds, he held various roles such as ISR, Storage and Virtualization Specialist, AE, System Management Regional Sales Manager and Install Base Sales Manager. His last three years at SolarWinds were spent managing a mixed team of ISR’s and AE’s that focused on growing their existing customer base. This experience provided Wes with an understanding of many things IT–Networking, Systems, Storage, Vitalization and Databases.
Wesley’s industry experience gained through his varied roles and sales background, make him the perfect fit to help Nine41 Consulting and their valued customers. “I am excited to be part of what Nine41 is doing.
